Plot Ideas Post

Part of the great fun of dressing rooms (and RP in general) is when massive amounts of ridiculous shenanigans happen. Each month YDR will sponsor an event or two (to be determined) where the island just goes . . . nuts.
So here is our question to you: what events would you like to see? We're collecting ideas and will make them into a monthly poll. Classic plots like bodyswaps are great fun (and I personally always endorse that one particularly), but please feel free to suggest others, as well--more unusual plots are a nice change from the classics.
Remember however, while you can always make suggestions below, they won't be included in the current vote.
The Current Voting page is here.
Of course, you can also use this page to send in any questions concerning the current set up for events as well; if you have complaints or suggestions to make, do that here!

They're both based on movies. So. Unimaginative names gogogo.
The Thing - Something extraterrestrial crashes on the island! ...Except it's a 'living virus'-style shapeshifter which will infect and assimilate you given half the chance, and you bet it's going to be using your loved ones' faces to get at you - it can become anyone it's assimilated. Assimilated muses will take on the abilities of the Thing but at the cost of being dominated by its will. They're probably aware enough to be inwardly horrified at assimilating their friends, but that's about it. The only way to kill them is with fire; normal weapons just plain ol' don't work, and anything that severs part of the body will only cause that body part to scuttle off and make another Thing. So, you know, good luck if you care about literally anyone else on the island, because they might be an alien shapeshifter out to assimilate you. And these assimilations can be pretty damn horrifying - the creature fusing its body to yours as it absorbs you, for example.
Eight-Legged Freaks - Giant spiders escape from...somewhere, and make their home in a shiny new cave system under the island, in some abandoned buildings, so on and so forth. You might stumble across trapdoor spider-style traps or webs above ground, except these things are huge, and the spiders are going to be dragging people off and webbing them up for eventual eating. Victims can be saved by their friends in this interim, but look out - if you go into the nest, you won't just be having to avoid spiders. You'll have to be getting web off faces to actually identify anyone (or just look at their hair which is probably poking out...assuming they have no like-haired doubles down there) and if any of them have already been bitten but not eaten, they might be rather spidery themselves. Or part-spidery, at least.
